Controversial Current Event Research
Day One: Select two topics of interest.
List of Controversial Current Events Now, use the databases below to find two articles to support each topic for a total of four. Record the source citations in Noodle Tools and answer the questions below in three to five sentences in the annotation section of the citation for a Research Pulse Check. 1. Coverage-Is the controversial issue covered in full? What is missing? 2. Credibility-Is there an author of the source? Who is the author? Are they credible? Why or why not? 3. Currency-Is the article current? Is the article up to date on changes and trends in regards to the controversial issue? Day Two: Find four database articles that support the topic you have chosen. You may use two of the articles you found on Day One, but you do not have to include those articles if you find something better. Record the citation for each source in Noodle Tools.
